Goal Setting in your Oriflame bussiness

Have you ever felt a little bit down? Are you one of those people who seem to get constantly lost in the fog  of confusion?

Going one way then another, trying one thing then shifting to something else, then move down one path, then retreat in the opposite direction! Their problem is simple – they don’t know what they want! You can’t hit a target if you don’t know what it is!

What we all need to do is to dream, but it’s absolutely essential that you do it in a totally focussed way. Don’t just read this and let it drift in through one ear and out of the other.

Sit down with a pen and paper and write down your dreams. Settle into a comfortable place, somewhere where you feel secure and at ease, and plan to spend at least ½ hour or so discovering what you expect to be and do and share and see and create and have in your lifetime. It might just be the most valuable thirty minutes that you’ll ever spend!

You’re going to learn to set goals and determine outcomes. You’re going to make a map of the roads you want to travel in your life. You’re going to figure out where you want to go and how you expect to get there.

I have to give you a warning though. There’s no need to put any limitations on what‘s possible. What would you do if you KNEW you could not fail? If you were absolutely certain of success, what activities would you pursue, what actions would you take? Be specific! The more detailed you are, the more empowered you are going to become in order to create the result.

As you create your list, some of the things you write down, will be things you’ve thought about for years, some will be things you’ve never even thought of before. You need to decide what YOU REALLY WANT – because knowing what you really want determines what you will get. Before something happens in the world it must first happen in your mind (cause and effect). Remember, winning starts with beginning, there is a magic button, and its called goals.

Now that we’re getting our heads around this concept of goals and the reality that the mastery of goal setting and of understanding that goal setting really is the magic key that improves our destiny, we just have to remember some of the basics. Remember that every day must be finished on paper before it ever begins. Planning is so critical –the harder we each prepare, the luckier we’ll all become.

I have noticed that some people seem to be afraid to set goals, because they think that they will be disappointed or will fail. What we don’t seem to realise sometimes is that it isn’t the achievement of the goal that’s important. It’s ACTING upon it! It’s taking MASSIVE ACTION towards its attainment.


The very reason that we set goals is to give our lives focus to move us in the direction we would like to go. Ultimately

Whether or not we achieve the goal is not half as important as the type of person we can become in pursuit of it. Choosing a goal may cause only a slight change in our lives, in the short term. But, Like the Captain of a large ship changing course, a 2 degree course change is not noticed in the first hours but over days or weeks, the destination of the ship will be massively different.

Everyone who succeeds needs to dedicate themselves to continuous improvement. The really successful people are never satisfied with just doing well, they constantly want to be and do better. If you dedicate yourself to this philosophy of constant and never-ending improvement – C.A.N.I. – you’ve probably heard it in training’s before, then you can virtually guarantee that you’ll not only continue your growth throughout your life, which is the real source of happiness, but you’ll guarantee your success.

By the way, C.A.N.I. does not mean that everything you do happens immediately, it’s all about realising that the process is gradual. The really successful people are the ones who understand the power of the bite-sized chunk! In other words they break down a goal into bite-sized pieces, into achievable “sub-goals” that lead towards the ultimate success they desire (How would you eat an elephant? – A piece at a time!).

With each sub goal, remember – reward yourself. We put ourselves under so many pressures over our lives, that now that we’re moving towards this new discipline of goal setting, it’s so important that we give ourselves positive reinforcement. So, set yourself some goals for this week, next week, this month, next month and set yourself some rewards that you’re REALLY going to look forward to
