Create your Oriflame Business Plan

I am a qualified Chef.  I didn’t just leave school and all of a sudden land a job as a head chef.
To get qualified and land a great job, I needed a plan and to serve an
“apprenticeship”  to learn all the necessary skills and gain the relevant experience.  It wasn’t a case of just showing up to work and seeing what happened, I had a 3 year plan  to gain my qualifications and experience and then continued that throughout my career to get up the next rung of the ladder.
As an Oriflame Regional Manager I have applied many of the same principles and created my own Oriflame Business Plan.
Just like I was earning whilst I was learning as a Chef – I am earning whilst I am still learning with my Oriflame business.

Business Planning

If you are really serious about your Oriflame business you would want to plan what you want to achieve and how you are going to get there.  It doesn’t matter whether you only have a few hours a week or full time hours to dedicate to your Oriflame business, the important thing is to be as effective as possible.
You can work it out yourself or alongside your upline.  There is no set format or requirement to do this (as you are self-employed) but this is what I’ve done and this is how I personally work.

What to cover in your Oriflame Business Plan

I have a simple 2 page document which covers the following points:
•    Your “Reasons Why” you are doing your Oriflame business
•    How much money do you want to earn – and by when
•    How your team is going to develop
•    How you are going to fund your Oriflame Business

Reasons Why = This is why you are doing Oriflame and what you want to get out of doing Oriflame.  Everyone’s reasons will be different and personal.

How Much Money Do You Want To Earn =  Use the Oriflame Calculators to work out how many team members and what level of leadership you need to be at to earn what YOU want.

How Your Team is Going to Develop  =  How are you going to find your new team members, how you are going to coach and train and retain them.  What do you need to learn about – company processes, personal development, leadership development etc.

How You Are Going To Fund It  =  There are expenses such as advertising, petrol etc. which are associated with running your business.  You may need to look at investing some of your Oriflame retail profits to fund your costs.  There are tax advantages to running your own business.

My Oriflame Business Plan

I personally have a 5 year Oriflame Business Plan – which is split into a year planner and a weekly planner.  This way I can measure what I am doing and where I am up to – and most importantly react and change to stay on course for my ultimate plans.
It should be noted that creating an income does require hard work, effort and dedication and that it doesn’t happen “quick” as it’s not a get rich quick scheme.  However, if you are disciplined and follow a plan the results will show through.

My Weekly Plan

I have a simple weekly Oriflame Business Plan where I work out what I want to achieve and I put it in my diary so that I can plan my time and resources accordingly.  Things like:-
•    What I need to do with my Oriflame retail sales
•    How many new recruits I want – and what activities I need to do to find them
•    Coaching and Training Sessions with existing team members

I personally find a weekly planner works better than a period planner as it is easy to drift of course over a 4 week time frame.  I can react quicker on a weekly plan.
I also work with an Activity Planner – which means I can track my activity and stay on plan.  I find this invaluable as it is easy to lose track of what you are doing.
Of course things pop up, and I am a busy dad with  twins.  Life does get in the way.  However, because I have all my tasks and activities mapped out on my planner, I can just re-schedule or work a little bit harder the next week.  For me it works really well.

Your Oriflame Business Plan

With your Oriflame business it is YOUR Business.  This means you set your own hours, your own targets and you decide what you want to get out of your own Oriflame business.  You don’t need to put full time hours into Oriflame to be a success – you just need a full-time attitude when you are doing your Oriflame business.

There are lots of resources and tools to help you with your Oriflame Business Plan on the team  resources website and main Oriflame website.
